Kenneth Muchina

Board Member

Kenneth is a 48-year-old Kenyan national, with close to 25 years’ experience earned in a blend of advisory and executive roles in: investment management, transaction advisory, strategic management advisory, corporate governance, general management, and statutory audit services in the corporate segment in the East African region.

Kenneth is passionate about serving society using his skill set, experience and other resources in his control, both in work and non-work spheres, with the expectation that he will make a contribution towards a better society.
Kenneth has worked as a senior executive in a number of businesses in East Africa, and advised over a dozen others in the same region. His work exposure has been in the following industries: Agribusiness, e-mobility, Mining, Fintech, Capital Markets, Banking, Insurance, other Financial Services, Beverages, ICT, Oil, Education, Media, Real Estate, Hotels, Shipping and Logistics, Electricity, General Manufacturing and Not For Profit sectors.
Kenneth is currently a Senior Vice President, East Africa at Talanton Advisors LLC (www.talantonllc.com). Talanton is a faith driven impact investor active in East Africa for seven years now, and with over $35m in Assets Under Management and growing.

Kenneth is a holder of a B.Com honors degree from the University of Nairobi and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).

Kenneth has extensive board experience stretching over ten years, serving at various points in time, on for profit and not for profit boards.

Kenneth is a keen supporter of community interests, and he presently serves as a director on the Board of Directors of Youth Safety Initiative Awareness Crime Si Poa – anti-crime lobby and advocacy organisation (https://www.crimesipoa.org/ )

Kenneth is a founder member of the ‘Busherian Mountaineers Group’ and the ‘Alliance Classic Run’, initiatives of the Alliance High School alumni community that have raised and continue to raise funds for the Alliance High School Endowment Fund Trust through mountaineering and charity run events respectively.
Kenneth is an avid trail hiker, mountaineer and recreational runner.
