Mary is responsible for the organisation’s overall financial planning, management, and oversight, supporting the program implementation teams.  

A highly qualified finance professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Finance Option), Mary is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). 

With over eight years of progressive experience in accounting, operations management, budgeting, internal controls, payroll, and audit functions, Mary has demonstrated financial, donor/partner reporting, and stakeholder management expertise. She has a proven track record of building competent teams, improving performance, and simplifying processes through digitization. 

As Finance Director, she ensures sound internal controls are in place and continually strengthens the organization’s financial and accounting systems to align with best international practices.  

Prior to her current role, Mary worked as a Finance Officer at Girl Child Network and Compassion International. She was instrumental in improving financial reporting and streamlining processes in both roles. 

Mary enjoys spending time with her family and traveling in her free time.
